Purpose:
Formally known as Job Interview this CDE is designed for FFA members to develop, practice, and demonstrate skills needed in seeking employment in the agricultural industry. Each part of the event simulates ? real -world? activities that ill be used by real-world employers.
Eligibility:
Each member and chapter must be in good standing prior to competition as determined by the Montana FFA Association. A Chapter does NOT have to compete in a district level event to be eligible for state competition.
Procedure:
The host site will determine the number of competitors allowed per chapter. The event will take place in conjunction with the Agriculture Issues Forum CDE at a site approved by the FFA Board of Trustees.
Event Rules:
It is highly recommended that the participants be in Official FFA Dress. Each participant’s cover letter, resume, and the application will be the results of his or her own efforts. Detailed rules for each portion of the event are found in the National FFA CDE Handbook.
Event Format:
Students are allowed to bring the following items into the event:
- Writing Utensils
- Blank Paper
- Resume
- Cover Letter
- List of References
Scoring:
Will follow the National Job Interview CDE Guidelines and may be modified by the host chapter to accommodate the event. A rank system will be used to determine final round participants and event winner.
