Chapter: Winifred FFA

Hi Montana FFA! I have been involved in agriculture as long as I can remember. I grew up on a farm/ranch where my family raises wheat, barley, Black Angus cattle, and an occasional experimental crop such as canola. I remember hauling an ice cream bucket full of toy tractors out to the harvest field and riding in the equipment all day as a young child. My love for “plants and tractors” as a child really drew me to the agronomy and mechanics contests in FFA. In my FFA career, I have also developed a love for the prepared speaking contest as it provides a great excuse to talk about agronomy and mechanics. Because of my experience in FFA, I have chosen to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Crop Science at Montana State University in Bozeman. In my spare time, you can find me in the shop working on restoring my 1952 John Deere styled model B tractor. I have always enjoyed agricultural history and am excited to help Montana FFA members make their own history this year!
